Ward Annual Youth Fishing Derby

Get ready for our family-friendly fishing competion! The Annual Ward Youth Fishing Derby is coming Saturday, May 9th at Busby Lake in Ward. This event is open to all youth ages 1-15. Preregistration is available this year or registration will be available at the pavilion located at Busby Lake. Registration will start at 8 am and fishing will officially start at 9 am with weigh-ins starting around 10:30 am. 

There will be a winner for each age group, 1-5, 6-10, & 11-15, for the biggest fish and an overall Grand Prize winner for the most weight. Thanks to our amazing sponsors, each winner will receive a trophy, as well as an Ugly Stik fishing pole and each participant will receive a prize. We will have fishing poles, tackle boxes, gear kits, nets & more to give away!
